Leadership Team

Haran Phaneuf, President

Before becoming a mother to a child with special needs, Haran worked in higher education for 15 years developing synergistic leadership programs for university honors students. Additionally, she served for seven years on the National Honors Collegiate Council's Education of the Gifted Committee promoting awareness within higher education about how to identify and educate gifted students with learning differences. Previously, she oversaw the Family Leadership Program for Central Massachusetts developed by Massachusetts Families Organizing for Change in partnership with HMEA and DDS. Currently, she works for Mass Families focused on strategic advancement promoting inclusive disability practices.

Haran joined SEPAC in 2017 when her son with autism started attending public school. Eager to connect with other parents of special needs for support and to use her expertise to help others, she reached out to the organization to become part of the leadership team.
