The Tantasqua/Union 61 Special Education Parent Advisory Council provides a network for parents, teachers, and community members to share concerns and resources as

well as to learn about special education issues and services.

We are a positive and solution oriented group, which

• Offers parent-to-parent support and facilitates connections

​​

• Provides monthly educational programs and trainings 

​

• Advocates for district wide changes to improve services

       for children with special needs

​​

• Promotes understanding and cooperation between parents, teachers and the special education departments  

​​

• †Promotes awareness within the community about learning difficulties and differences
